Attention ALL Utah HIMSS Members: We’ve Made Some Updates and Need to Ensure Your Access, Create Your UHIMSS Account Today!

We've updated the Utah HIMSS Chapter website for a better user experience. All members, both longstanding and brand new, need to create an account with our new portal to access the full benefits of their membership. Read the step-by-step guide below to learn how.
We will be providing free access to members-only networking events and exclusive access to our monthly newsletter. To enhance your experience as a UHIMSS member, we need to ensure everyone with a membership is identified appropriately; to help us identify members, we’ve included a step-by-step worksheet detailing how to create an account with our new platform, Star Chapter.
NOTE: Not all member sign-up journeys will be the same. For those who already have an established UHIMSS email address, please skip to Step 6.
1. Please make sure you have selected Utah as your chapter membership within your HIMSS national account. Confirm this in your HIMSS national account before proceeding with the next steps.
2. First, go to the HIMSS National Website and sign in.
3. Next, select the Chapter & Community Participation tab. Once you are at the Chapter/Membership/Professional Communities Selection Page, respond “No” to the prompt “Opt out of Chapter Membership.”
4. After you have selected “No”, all the Chapter Membership Options appear in a drop-down list. Select the “Utah Chapter”.
5. After selecting the Utah Chapter on the national website, you will receive an email with the subject line “Welcome to our chapter”. This email will notify you that your profile Utah Chapter of HIMSS is active and will include your credentials: the email associated with your account as well as your membership ID.
6. Go to https://utahhimss.org and select the “Member Area” from the main menu on the home page.
7. Next in the drop-down menu of the “Member Area” section, select “Member Login.” This will take you to a portal that will require the credentials emailed to you in the Welcome to our chapter email” or, if you are already a member, you will need to submit the email associated with UHIMSS (the one that is receiving the newsletter).
8. If you are unsure what your password is, select the “Forgot Username/Password?” and the following page will give you the option to submit your email associated with UHIMSS to create a new password.
9. Next, you will receive an email from Utah HIMSS that will prompt you to create a new password; follow the link provided in the email with the following subject line to reset your password.
10. Once logged in, you can click the “Edit Profile” page to add a profile picture, a bio, and adjust your business information.
11. Feel free to explore the Member Area; this section allows you to renew your membership, review your orders, and access the member directory!
